These places should not be missed in your Costa Rica trip

Costa Rica is a country of unlimited attractions and impressive places that will definitely take your breath away. That is why, when you come to our country: these places should not be missed in your Costa Rican trip.

Arenal Volcano

Located only 3 hours away from the Juan Santamaria International Airport by car and 25  minutes by plane, the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna town will provide a highly satisfying Stay no matter what your wants are: either if you are seeking for a restful time or if you want to try one of its many adrenaline filled tours.

Tours like white water rafting, zip lining canyoneering, mountain biking, kayaking, nature hiking and more make the perfect complement to the outdoor spa treatments, the thermal springs and the excellent service you will get everywhere you go.

Manuel Antonio National Park

Well known as one of the most important gay clusters in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio offers a myriad of experiences for all tastes. Located about 2.5 hours from the Juan Santamaria International airport by car and 25 minutes by plane, Manuel Antonio shines for its luscious vegetation, great activities, little boutique hotel that offer an exquisite view and two of the best beaches in Costa Rica. Todos los hoteles de este destino se encuentran en la cima de la montaña por lo que la vista es realmente maravillosa. You may come any time of the year to Manuel Antonio, except maybe on October when it rains heavily.

San Jose

Surrounded by mountains and located at the center of Costa Rica, San Jose is our capital city and also the place where you will enjoy history and have a cultural immersion. On the one hand you will find beautiful old buildings with European accents, museums (the Golden Museum is a must), theatres and a busy downtown. On the other hand, you will savor great cuisine at little coffee shops and restaurants, find great shopping malls and very close by: stroll through coffee plantations that will play a striking contrast to the concrete found in the heart of the city.

Poas Volcano and National Park

Located about 1 hour from San Jose, the Poas Volcano is one of the best attractions closest to the city. The volcano is currently active and its crater is one of the largest of the world and best of all: you can reach its top and wonder at both its crater and its lagoon. And if you want to make this tour even more complete, we highly recommend a visit to spectacular Peace Waterfalls and Gardens.

Corcovado National Park

Hidden in the middle of the Costa Rican Rainforest, you will reach Osa Peninsula, home of the Corcovado National Park by domestic flight. And the 30 minutes air journey will be accompanied by breathtaking views of Costa Rica´s coast and rainforests.  All lodges in the area are quaint and unique, and most you will reach by boat only. But this is precisely why Osa Peninsula is so special: the only multitude you will encounter is the animals. Indeed, National Geographic deemed Corcovado National Park as “the most biologically intense place in the world”.  If you choose Osa Peninsula for your vacation, you will get a true Costa Rica jungle immersion.

This is the perfect destination if you are aiming for privacy and relaxation. And romance is definitely in order here: spectacular sunsets, delicious food and great accommodations with personalized service will help all couples feel as if they were in their honeymoon.

Tamarindo and Papagayo

Costa Rica boasts exotically beautiful beaches, and so Tamarindo and Papagayo should definitely be in your list when you visit Costa Rica.

Tamarindo is a surfers town that offers a huge and beautiful coast to all that dream about bathing and surfing in our Pacific Ocean. There are many little restaurants, shops and coffee shops to stroll to and the mangrove nearby offers a great place to do kayaking.

On the other hand, Papagayo, located about 1 hour north from Tamarindo: offers long and pristine beaches and luxurious resorts for those seeking comfort and all amenities in one location. Fishing and diving can certainly be done here.

¿Sounds irresistible, right? Plan your next trip to Costa Rica and enjoy our wild and beautiful destinations.
